During this one-day workshop participants will have the opportunity to get to know the techniques and basic procedures of sandstone sculpture, by observing Serafino Zilli at work and under his guidance trying their hand at the different phases in the production of small bas-relief models , from the design to the different sculpting techniques and the various types of finishing.

The workshop will be introduced by Serafino Zilli himself, who will tell you about the origins of his passion for stone and his apprenticeship in the family, showing you the main utensils for carving that he uses in his workshop, the iconographic models to which he refers when conceiving the sculpted decorations and the various stages of the work to be done in order to produce a bas-relief.

At the end of the workshop all the participants will be able to take home their own bas-relief stone on which they worked during the day.
